2011 Community Contributions
TABORVILLE, OHIO, August 14, 2011
On August 14,
2011, Tom and Diane took two horses to the Czechoslovakian community in
Taborville, a part of Auburn Township. Every year Taborville sponsors a
Harvest Festival, in which a lengthy parade creates a spirit of joy and
fun for those honorary Czechs who come to partake in the festive
atmosphere. Our Tsammie and Perfect Horse, complete with political banners
endorsing a Trustee candidate in the important November 8, 2011, Auburn
Township election, did not spook over a single firecracker, a single
popped balloon, a single backfire, or a single flashing light. There were
political candidates, sheriff vehicles, floats, candy thrown at the
spectators from cars and trucks, and lots of camaraderie. It was fun to be
an Auburn Township resident that day, but it was especially rewarding to
see everyone's admiration for our two fine horses. It was a win-win for
everyone—for Taborville, for us, for Tsammie and Perfect Horse. The
weather could have been better, but at least we were able to complete the
parade route before the rain came down very convincingly!
2011 CLAMBAKE/CHINESE AUCTION
HELD BY THE AUBURN TOWNSHIP VOLUNTEER
FIRE DEPARTMENT—August 27,
2011 To commemorate our community spirit Windt im Wald donated two
riding lessons to be auctioned off at the Chinese Auction. We are pleased
and proud to participate in community events such as these and to exercise
a spirit of good will. Thanks, AVFD, for the opportunity to participate in
this worthwhile event!
Local events are great fun and provide an
opportunity to introduce the fine qualities of our horses to the
community. We are looking forward to participating in future events.
